Yes: Trainers will typically spend one session evaluating you and helping you set realistic goals for yourself whether it be strength, endurance, or cardio fitness. Most trainers will cross train their clients for strength and cardio fitness. If you clearly outline what you want to get out of the training package you will be less likely to be disappointed.
