Memory loss: Brain cells need good blood flow just like any other cell in the body. If they don't get enough oxygen and nutrition from the bloodstream they don't work as well, and cause memory loss. Sometimes people can have memory loss following multiple small strokes. This is known as multi-infarct dementia.
