A member asked:

Is hypertension or hypotension more common?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hypertension: Hypertension is elevated blood pressure from a variety of causes, but particularly aging, obesity, poor diet, etc all make it worse or start younger. Since these are many of the hallmarks of the modern lifestyle (well , aging comes with all lifestyles), hypertension is much more common. Hypotension (low blood pressure) can come from the wrong dose of blood pressure meds, or some heart problems.
