Foot fungus: The description of red-purple blotches on top is not characteristic of a foot fungus. It sounds more like a circulation issue rather than a skin problem. Foot fungus is usually manifested as scaly red spots, often between the toes or in the arch of the foot.

May be ringworm, but: Without seeing it, its hard to tell. Ringworm is a fungus in a circular, raised, often itchy rash. Have a podiatrist or dermatologist take a look to be sure.
