Not known: There are no peer reviewed studies published on how much flaxseed is necessary to reduce ldl. There is no credible information on using flaxseed oil for dysfunctional uterine bleeding.

Diet, exercise and: medication. You may take flax seed, but do not express it to materially change your LDL. Reduce your intake of saturated fats, reduce weight and exercise 30 minutes/day. If that does not work, talk to your doctor about taking statins.
