Niacin, sterols &...: Supplements & lifestyle changes often lower cholesterol as well as drugs, without the expense & potential hazards. Niacin works best but causes flushing that you adapt to- no-flush Niacin is also available. Plant sterol extracts like beta-sitosterol work well. Pantethine is a bit pricey and not well-known but very effective. While lowering cholesterol often helps, look at it in context-see comment:.

Which one?: If you want to lower LDL Niacin will work, for triglycerides carnitine 2gm per day, for lipoproteins niacinamide 250mg -500mg will help. To lower total cholesterol you need b6 plus betaine hcl to create bile and choline.
