Unfortunately, worse: In many cultures, senior citizens are treated far worse than in the us. Just visit any other country (first world or developing), and you will notice nearly no handicapped access, no elevators, no ramps, nothing to aid the elderly or infirm or physically limited. New zealand and australia are rare examples that do care for their aging population.
