Only if it relaxes: No randomized controlled trial is ever shown a cardiovascular benefits of acupuncture, however if it relaxes you and thereby lowers your blood pressure, there may be some effect.

Yes: Yes. There are auricular protocols that can be beneficial in conjunction with standard medical treatment. In other words, acpuncture can be used as an adjunct to your treatment regimen. Please talk to your physician about this option first.
