Do i need to keep my child's bandage dry after surgery?

Yes: You should have received specific written instructions about the wound from your surgeon, but in general all bandages and new incisions should be kept dry until healing has progressed enough in the wound to block out bacteria. Bandages should be changed if they are wet or soiled.
