Many signs: Children are very resilient and will generally do well after minor traumas. You should look for neurologic symptoms, such as excessive crying or sleeping, intractable vomiting, or irregularity in the pupils or bulging of his soft spot. Any of those should prompt you to bring him to the er immediately.
