Active recovery: Cam boot or aircast initially to protect injured ligament(s), crutches until no limp (usually brief w/grade 1), ice during first 48-72 hours and elevation to reduce swelling, nsaids prn for pain, rehab/pt for range of motion; wean boot/brace as gait normalizes, then strengthening, proprioception, agility, sport-specific exercises; usually ankle taping/brace for return to sports. Good luck!
