Pumping or feeding: I agree that this is the preferred nutrition for the baby. If your baby requires added calories, a supplement may be added to the pumped milk to boost calories. Nasal feedings are used sometimes, and it really depends on the situation. The goal is to have the baby gain weight which helps to offset the effects of being born prematurely.
