Many: Most labors have the option for continuous support of your choosing. This can be family, a good friend, a hired doula, or simply an OB nurse you've bonded with. Bottom line, it's your call. Choose someone you trust, has had children, and is able to support your decisions (instead of asserting theirs...). Ask your OB what you're birth center has available.
