Intestine only: In an isolated small bowel transplant only the small bowel is transplanted. Other bowel transplants may involve the stomach, duodenum, pancreas or liver.

SBTx: An isolated intestine is a small bowel allograft usually transplanted for short gut. If the liver has also failed, it is also included, usually as a multivisceral cluster including liver, pancreas, duodenum and small intestine (+\- the stomach). Less often, a modified mvt without the liver is appropriate.
