It depends.....: For the type 1 diabetes a poential cure would require a transplant of the islet cells from a donor; it's pretty complicated but possible. For type 2 diabetes, a very rigorous change in lifestyle might be able to reverse the disease.

Type 2-controlled!!: Not cured as it is a strongly genetic disease, and no therapy gets rid of genes that put you at risk but diet, exercise, appropriate meds can control it! type 1 can only be cured with islet cell or pancreas transplant.
