Yes: Chest pain is not usually related to the hypertension itself unless the blood pressure is very high. But complications of the hypertension, such as a dissecting aneurysm (tearing of the aorta) or a heart attack could produce chest pain.

Yes: Untreated or uncontrolled hypertension can cause headaches, chest pain, vision problems, etc.
