How can i tell if the pain is from my back or hip?

See below: Sometimes it can be tricky and requires a complete history, physical examination, and imaging studies by a physician. Usually hip pain will be felt in the groin and in the buttocks radiating down to the level of the knee. Back pain is often in the low back and can radiate all the way down to the feet.
