Excess dryness: Excess dryness can be caused from over exposure to water, chemicals, a drug reaction, or peeling after having a high fever. Is there reddness? This can also be hand eczema or psoriasis.

Post infectious: Post strep or staph infection can lead to peeling skin of finger and toe tips. This can also occur after some viral infections.
