Lots of unknowns...: There are so many unknowns in the world of probiotics (like all supplements that are non-prescription or non-fda approved). If one thinks of growing probiotics as similar to making home-made yogurt with natural cultures, then one sees that room temperature is ok. But, one can't tell how much live stuff was in the probiotic, how much is still in there, nor how much will make it to one's intestines.
