A member asked:

How many days can freshly cooked food and food opened from tin [ ie tuna] be kept safely and usable in fridge after placing it in fridge?thanks

A doctor has provided 1 answer

About 2-3 days: You can sometimes go up to 5 days. Dry foods and foods high in sugar, vinegar, or alcohol can last much longer. The colder your fridge is set, the longer food will last. If you want to extend the time more, you can also try vacuum sealing the food, then put it in the fridge, that should give you an extra couple of days also. It's all about making the bacteria that spoils food grow slower.
