What is the best treatment for craniosynostosis in a 3 month old?

Separate the bones: With craniosynostosis, the skull bones fused together too soon, causing a strange appearance; and leads to functional problems with the eyes, the jaw, and the brain, depending on the problem's severity. The fused bones must be separated by surgery, so the question is when & where to do the surgery. Parents can get 2-3 opinions from nearby medical centers, and go where they feel most comfortable.

Craniosynostosis: The two options are removing the suture (some centers add a helmet) or a cranial vault remodeling (CVR). Our center has given up the strip craniectomies due to poor outcomes over the long term and do the cranial vault remodellings, which for us has given much better results over the longterm.
