Craniosynostosis: Scaphocephaly is a type of craniosynostosis and occurs when a suture, a region where two large bones come together and fuse or close prematurely. This typically leads to a prominent forehead and a very narrowed backside of the head, often with a prominent "knob" at the very back of the head. Depending on the severity of the clinical findings surgery can be recommended for correction
