Get unconstipated: A young adult who has pain in various places in the abdomen, and is "constantly constipated", should work with her primary care doctor to get "unconstipated" and stay "unconstipated". If her symptoms of pain are gone, and if the doctor does not suspect any bad disease going on, then the problem was likely one of being "full of poop". Doctor follow-up is needed, in case other symptoms appear.

Not enough: Fluids and excess caffeine intake as well as meds that may contribute to constipation. You need to discuss with a GI doctor or colorectal surgeon to be sure it is just due to diet and fluids.
