A member asked:

Why does exercise strengthen the joints?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Strengthens muscles: Exercise, especially resistance exercise or weight training, strengthens the muscles that support the joints. The joints themselves are not strengthened by exercise. Physical therapy is often recommended after joint injury to strengthen the muscles around the joints.
