Yes: The real difference is the type of cancers. Cigars don't have filters, and cigar smokers tend to hold the smoke in their mouths and throat rather than inhaling. Cigars have higher levels of nicotine. Both cigar and cigarette smokers have similar risk for oral cancers. There are strong links between cigar smoking and cancer of the pancreas, and male breast cancer.
