Is coughing too much bad for your throat? i hate to medicate but don't want to suffer and harm myself.

Sometimes yes: A bad cough can cause irritation and sometimes hoarseness. What is more important is finding out the cause of your cough . It could be an allergy, an infection, lung disease from smoking, asthma, irritation from acid coming up from your stomach, or even some kind of pneumonia or cancer. Please see your doctor if it has been present for more than one or two weeks.
