Neither is/are safe: Chlordiazepoxide (librium) has a half-life of 5-30hrs w/active metabolites staying in your system 3-200hrs! diazepam (valium) has a half-life of 30-60hrs w/active metabolites staying in your system 30-100hrs. Neither are indicated (approved) for use in insomnia. All benzo & other non-benzo sedative-hypnotics are associated w/increase risk of injuries & even mortality. http://bit.ly/kbqlwd.
