Hello which of the two librium or diazapan would you recommend for a alcohol detox ?

Diazepam(Valium): Librium is a very old drug, so it is not used much anymore. Valium should be fine. Another related drug for this indication is Ativan. Your doctor would know what to use as they often have standard protocols for common conditions.

Librium: See the following: http://www.bjmp.org/content/benzodiazepines-revisited Time to peak concentration is related to a drug's ability to produce euphoria, and therefore create dependence. Librium would therefore be my preference. For cases of hepatic impairment, lorazepam is often chosen. Ultimately, either are effective for this indication.
