Depends on: Dose and personal reaction to the meds, but diazepam is more commonly used for issues such as this as it effects anixety with slightly less sedating effects (although it will cause sedation as well). Poor dental care can lead to increased systemic inflammation and possible seeding of bacteria, you are right. So definitely get in to see dentist. It will be hard, but you can do it!

Wrong benzos: It is critical to maintain your oral health, which has been shown to correlate with other disease and longevity. I would not use either of these 2 older benzodiazepines. Bothwill stay in your system longer than necessary and temazepam could put you to sleep for a few hours. Dentists use more sophisticated options for patients with severe fear of dental care than 7 years ago.
