Wait: Stress is placed on your muscles with lifting weights. If done improperly or too much weight is used (different for every individual) muscle injury is more likely to occur. It is best to wait to avoid further damage if you have an active injury. Discuss with your md and consider working with a physical therapist to ensure you are ready to lift weights.
