Yes: Chalk dust, talcum powder, & similar fine substances can creat problems in lungs similar to "black lung"; they're all forms of silicosis & can compromise lung function. Wear a mask/filter if exposed to such materials. If already exposed, see fp/pulmonologist for lung function tests.
