Seems like i am suffering more(breathing trouble) after running the dehumidifier to control dust mites.what could the reason be?

Contaminant: The water in the unit should always be clear and odorless, otherwise it should be considered contaminated. Clean the unit as directed in the User Manual and replace the water (distilled is best). Mold and mildew can grow in the huidifierbif it is not properly maintained, making symptoms worse. If the problem persists, replacement of the unit should be considered.
