Similar to Smallpox: Caused by an orthopoxvirus, monkey pox ia a rare disease mostly in central and west africa. Transmitted by the bite of an infected animal or by person-to-person spread, it is less contagious than small pox. The symptoms are fever, headache, backache, muscle aches, swollen lymph nodes, and exhaustion. A rash follows one to three days later.

Monkeypox is a zoonotic infection spread from animals to people (most of the time). Sxs may include fever, swollen lymph nodes, headaches, back & other muscle pain, low energy level which are followed by skin lesions which start as macules which become papules & then vesicles (filled with clear fluid or pus) before crusting over.
