Dr. Ted King answered

PE symptoms: Some patients with pulmonary embolism have no symptoms whatsoever. So, it is possible to have one and not know it, especially if it is a small clot. If the clot is big enough, most patients will have sudden onset of shortness of breath, chest pain that worsens when breathing deeply, a cough, and a fast pulse. Sometimes people with a pe are lightheaded, dizzy, clammy, and sweaty.
