Many ways: Tularemia (named for tulare county ca, where discovered), can be acquired by direct contact with animals which carry it (rabbits, wild rodents, beavers, etc.). It can be inhaled and produce pneumonia, ingested and spread through the GI tract; gotten in the eyes through infected materials, etc., etc. It can also be spread person to person.
