Can't really tell: Lab results usually are numbers, and numbers are just numbers, without much meaning unless a doctor takes in the whole picture of what's going on with his patient. If the patient's AST (an enzyme, whose level is being measured in a blood sample) is higher than the normal range, the doctor who ordered the test may or may not consider the lab result a problem, depending on how high it is, etc...
