Need More Calories: This is a pretty severe calorie restriction if you are planning to eat only 800 calories a day! Remember while your baby is breastfeeding over the next several months, you will continue to make more and more milk and here is where the pounds usually really come off with breastfeeding. I would stick with a fruits and veggies with lean meats and three milk servings a day. Not less than 1500kcal

Absolutely not: It can be tempting to take early measures to lose weight after giving birth. However, a low calorie diet will reduce the quantity and quality of breast milk, and should not be attempted until milk production and breastfeeding are completely done with. It takes over 500 calories per day just to produce milk.
