Reply: If he is otherwise not sick, then most likely teething could be the reason when gums are swollen and eating solids causes discomfort. Give him puree foods for the time being, use teethers and keep them clean, tylenol (acetaminophen) as needed but if necessary. Keep an eye on any other symptoms causing this issue.
