Please see below.: The treatment won't prevent you from catching it in the future. And yes, you need to notify anyone you've been in close contact with since you caught scabies, until the scabies is gone. That way, they can be on the lookout for symptoms, and if any symptoms of scabies appear, they can be evaluated and treated quickly.
