A member asked:

Are alcoholics more likely to be predisposed to one cancer type over that over another cancer type?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: there is an increase in a number of kinds of cancer in heavy drinkers, particularly when it is combined with exposure to other carcinogens, like cigarettes, air pollution and other toxins. Liver cancer, stomach and esophageal cancers are probably at the higher end of cancers in alcoholics, but breast, colon, bladder and pancreatic cancers are also increased. Head/neck cancer also very common.
