Swallow water?: If you can't swallow water or your own saliva, you have a food impaction in your esophagus. If you can swallow, you likely just have swelling/irritation and it just feels like you have something stuck there. If this is a recurrent problem (difficulty swallowing) you need to see your doctor for further testing.
