Is it possible when swallowing a pill it goes up not down the throat ? feels as though it went above the roof of my mouth in the back. repeating swallowing water didnt feel like it moved?

Yes. it can go up into back of throat nose. Try blowing nose or gargling with water. Try not to inhale it when doing this. Some pills will produce burns is they sit in one place for a time. If it is hurting and feels like it is still there now may want to go to urgent care.
