I am concerned: Your note says you're only 18 years old. If this is true, i'm very concerned about a doctor telling you that you need to be on Ativan (lorazepam) or other benzodiazepine for the rest of your life. That's a really long time! there may be other, much safer and even more effective treatments for you -- if you consider getting a second opinion from a psychiatrist. Have you thought about that? No : Not treating your anxiety disorder will impact your career. Look for other treatments to support the medication use, such as counseling, biofeedback, or relaxation techniques.
