Sensitivity: people with atopic dermatitis are more sensitive to synthetic fibers. It is likely that the polyester is worsening pt's skin. Moisturize many times a day. Wear natural fibers. Use simple detergents, fragrance free. Use simple soaps like dove.

Natural fibers: Fabrics made from natural fibers such as cotton or silk are preferred for people with eczema. Polyester is likely more of an irritant than an allergen, but anything is possible. Avoiding synthetic fibers, fragranced detergents/body washes and excessive bathing combined with liberal use of hypoallergenic moisturizers may help.
