Numbness of area: in /on head noticed when touching it (I can assume we are talking about your scalp as you are not likely able to touch anything in your head without doing some major surgery), is usually due to altered sensibility due to trauma or infection. inflammation of the posterior auricular nerve or the occipital nerve in the back of your head can also do this without trauma or infection.
