Chronic cough in a : child is often caused by Reactive Airway Disease, a term for bronchial spasm & inflammation without full-on asthma attacks. His pediatrician prescribed Ventolin, a bronchodilator, but also Bisolvon, dextromethorphan, a cough suppressant that can keep mucus from moving.
