Nothing without exam: The mucus cutting agent you are giving is the only OTC med that might help at his age. The rest of the OTC cough/cold products are worthless. If he is examined & the doc finds the need there may be other prescription agents that may help. Most of these kids who are feeding/drinking well & playing some can be managed at home while the process passes. If this spooks you have him seen.
