Down syndrome: Can be an ethical issue. Other people might make you try to feel guilty and insist that it is an ethical issue. The facts are that the older you are the more you're likely to have a deformed or Down syndrome child. The only question is are you willing to take that risk ? Its perfectly acceptable if you want to take that risk. Others say you have an obligation to potential child.

Termination: There are only ethical issues if you are willing to terminate the pregnancy.This is you choice.There are no other issues that are ethically at play, if termination is not an option.

Your choice: If you would never consider termination, you might still want to have more information about your future offspring.About 30% of DS babies will have a significant heart defect, their average IQ is in the 60's and all will need supervision long after you are gone. It is part of life, you can just hope or be prepared, you do get a choice.
