Can down syndrome fetus have holes in their hearts at anytime?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Confusing question: All babies have holes in their hearts as they begin to form, but most are closed when formation is complete. About 1/3 ds infants will be born with a heart defect, most of which feature a "hole"between chambers.
