Call your surgeon: Check with your oral maxillofacial surgeon. Usually permanent ligation keeps everything in check. Any concerns check with your surgeon. It is doubtful that the tongue could cause damage to your surgery.

Not likely: Most if not all swelling should be almost gone but as with numbness swelling can take up to a few month to go away. It can feel like uncomfortable pressure, squeezing, fullness or even discomfort. Keep liquid and soft foods diet and be patient.
